Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 June 2026
These terms cover your use of TaskPilot. We have tried to write them in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at ishtiaque.tg@gmail.com and we will explain it.
1.Who we are
TaskPilot is a household task and accountability system operated by Ishtiaque Khan, based in Victoria, Australia. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “TaskPilot” refer to the operator; “you” refers to the person creating an account or using the service.
By creating an account or otherwise using TaskPilot, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use TaskPilot.
2.The service
TaskPilot is a software-as-a-service product for tracking tasks, routines, and shared household activities. We give you a workspace, authentication, optional AI features, and the right to use those features for your personal or household purposes.
We may change, improve, or remove features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice for breaking changes that affect existing users.
3.Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private. You are responsible for everything done through your account. If you believe your account has been used without your permission, tell us immediately.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you create a workspace and invite family members, you must have the right to invite them and to act on their behalf where applicable.
4.Payment
TaskPilot is currently free for individual use. Paid plans for households will be introduced. We will give existing users clear notice before any pricing changes and existing personal-use accounts will be grandfathered on reasonable terms.
5.Content you put into TaskPilot
You retain ownership of the tasks, notes, tracker entries, bios, and other content you create in TaskPilot. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content as required to operate the service for you and the workspace members you have invited.
You must not put illegal content into TaskPilot. You must not use TaskPilot to harass, defame, or harm another person. If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account without notice.
AI features may include excerpts of your task and tracker content as context for the model. Where you choose to enable AI features using a third-party provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI), that content is sent to those providers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6.Service warranty
TaskPilot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, available in all regions, or fit for any particular purpose.
You should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We are not a medical, legal, or financial system of record.
7.Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to TaskPilot is limited to the amount you have paid us for the service in the twelve months immediately prior to the claim, or AUD 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law or any other rights that cannot be excluded.
8.Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your use threatens the service or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.
On termination, your access to the service ends. We will retain or delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
9.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction for any dispute arising from these terms or your use of TaskPilot.
10.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you, for example through an in-app notice or by email. Continuing to use TaskPilot after a material change means you accept the updated terms.
